The Objective of the project was to estimate the area of Eucalyptus plantations in four taluks of Kolar. The four taluks were Bangarpet, Kolar, Malur and Mulbagal. All these taluks are contiguous and form one cluster. Quickbird satellite images were used to delineate eucalyptus plantations.
The interpreted areas were then imported into GIS software for further analysis. This project was carried out for M/s. AllGreen Energy Pvt. Ltd.
