This project involved preparation of GIS database and using the same for assessing the environmental Impact assessment of quarrying in the districts of Kolar and Bangalore districts. The scope of the work included plotting of the study areas on the digitized toposheets and incorporation and linking of field data related to air, noise and water pollution. This project was carried out for the Environmental Science department of Bangalore University. The project was carried out on 1: 50,000 scale.
